Frombork, also known as city of Copernicus is a place where the scientist spent 33 years of his life.
Here he wrote his work "On the Revolutions of the Celestial" almost five centuries ago.
Certainly worth a visit is the Cathedral Hill building complex, which includes medieval, gothic cathedral; Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Andrew the Apostle and the oldest building Frombork Hills. Built in the years 1329 - 1388. It has several outbuildings, including two chapels: St. George (the so-called. Chapel Poland) and Savior (called chapel Szembek).
The cathedral have some of the most famous baroque organ in the country, and from the end of June to August there is a cultural attraction - International Festival of Organ Music takeing place on eacha Sunday.
